The Medfield Fire Department family and town residents suffered a very difficult loss with the sudden passing of Janine O’Toole on March 11, 2006 . Janine was a very special person; loving wife and mother, teacher of young children and talented amateur photographer. She was an energetic and enthusiastic person who can now truly be described as an angel among us.

While Janine’s passing has affected all of us, the most significant impact will be felt by her husband David and their children, six-year old Jonathan and four-year old Jocelyn. David, a water department employee, has also served Medfield for 21 years as a member of the fire department. Countless times he left his family and responded to aid Medfield families and businesses during their time of need. Now that Janine has left us, we are extending an invitation for the community to show their support during this difficult time for David, Jonathan and Jocelyn. It is our hope to lessen some of the financial burden that the family will bear as David moves forward and raises his family.

On April 29, 2006 family and friends will gather for a Benefit at the Medfield American Legion Beckwith Post 110 at 7:00 PM. There are several ways to support the Benefit. If you wish to attend, a limited number of tickets at $25.00 per person will be available at Lord’s and will include a buffet, cash bar, entertainment and numerous raffles. Folks who are unable to attend may purchase any number of Angel Tickets ($25.00 each) in their family’s or business’ name to be displayed the evening of the Benefit. These Angel Tickets will be available at Lord’s or by mailing a check made out to the O’Toole Children’s Fund c/o Medfield Fire Department, 114 North Street , Medfield , MA   02052.
